COMPANY POSITIONS AND QUALIFICATION

HOME HEALTH AIDE (HHA)

HHAs provide personal care and homemaking services to individuals who require home care services.

Training may consist of 96 hours of training from a technical college (HHA and nursing assistant training).  It may also consist of a competency skills and written test, where competency is determined by an RN.

Home Health Aides provide assistance with personal care such as bathing and grooming. They also provide light housekeeping services as it supports the personal care tasks, such as cleaning the bathroom after a bath.

All our HHAs are competency tested by an RN and orientated to each client to ensure that the staff provides quality care. They are also required to do 12 hours of Inservice per year as provided by the company.

All HHAs are properly vetted and criminal background checked through the State of MN prior to working.

PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANT (PCA)

Personal Care Attendants (PCA) provide activities of daily living (ADLs) and independent activities of daily living (IADLs) as assessed by the State of MN. The staff follows a PCA care plan of needs created by a Qualified Professional (QP) alongside the client. The client is required to direct their own care or have a person that can do this for them. PCAs are supervised as required by law.

All our PCAs are competency tested by a QP and orientated to each client to ensure that the staff provides quality care. They are also required to do 12 hours of In-service per year as provided by the company.

All PCAs are properly vetted and criminal background checked through the State of MN prior to working.

HOMEMAKERS

Employees will provide general housecleaning, meal preparation, grocery shopping/errands for the elderly and disabled.

All homemakers must attend a minimum of a two-hour orientation, prior to servicing any of the clients.

Homemakers must meet a 24-hour training requirement within their first year of employment.  The 24-hour requirement is based on training and experience of the homemaker.

All Homemakers are properly vetted and criminal background checked through the State of MN prior to working. They are required to 6 hours of Inservice per year.
